DEN March Madness – Entry #16 – Coach’s Eye

DEN Team member Brad Fountain shares the final entry for DEN March Madness.  Brad loves Coach’s Eye, an app (iOS & Android) that allows you to record a video on your device or import existing videos from, your device, video cameras, or other apps. This app is designed for coach’s to use with their players to analyze sports skills and performance.  However, Brad has found a great educational use for this $4.99 app.

This tool allows users to import video’s from Discovery Education or from their own camera roll and have students narrate over the video and analyzing the video using drawing tools as the video is playing. There is no easier way to have students share what they know about a given concept using video.

There you go, all 16 tools have been revealed. The brackets will out on Monday and the voting will begin! Check back often to see what favorite tools will advance to each round.

Wow! Thanks for the great idea Brad! My students and I use coaches eye using personal sport video, analyzing trajectory or max height or other physics behaviors, but I never thought of importing a DE video segment. Excellent share…. I’m going to go try it NOW!
