Collaborative Boards on Pinterest

Last night on the DEN Social Media and Blog Team Meeting the idea of using collaborative boards on Pinterest came up as a potential way for DEN Stars to share ideas. This is a fantastic idea!

Collaborative boards are easy to set up and can be a great way to for DEN Stars to connect. Below I outline basic instructions on how to invite collaborators to new and/or existing Pinterest boards.

A few notes from Pinterest on collaborative boards:

  • The Pinterest user(s) you invite to collaborate need to belong to one of your existing boards
  • You can invite people without a Pinterest account to collaborate, just enter their email
  • The owner of the board has control – the owner can delete the board or remove collaborators from the board

Happy pinning with your DEN friends!

    Dear Tracy,

you’ve said that the owner could delete the board or remove collaborators from the board, but what about pins the owner doesn’t want to have on his/her collaborative board? For example, a certain brand creates collaborative board and invites people to create pins and someone starts pinning something about competetive brand? Does the owner have the right to remove certan pin, instead of removing the whole board or pinner?

    Thank you! 🙂
