Saturday, May 18th is DEN Geocaching Day! We’d love every STAR Discovery Educator to get outside for the day and join some colleagues while having fun geocaching and connecting with others. Geocaching is a free real-world outdoor treasure hunt. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using a smartphone or GPS and can then share their experience. We’ll be sharing more information about the event in the coming weeks, but until that time, here are a few things for you to do to get ready.
- Mark May 18th on your calendar for DEN Geocaching Day!
- Watch this webinar archive about Geocaching in Classroom
- Consider hosting a Geocaching Event in your area. Already planning on hosting? Fill out this form.
Keep an eye on the DEN Blogs over the next few weeks as we share more information about the event. Geocaching Day is an excellent way to get outside and explore the great outdoors. It’s even better when you do it with other DEN members.
