Mousey Monday – The Louisiana Purchase















Happy Mousey Monday from Mousey! Tomorrow, April 30, in 1803, the United States purchased Louisiana Territory from France. This was known as the Louisiana Purchase.

The Louisiana Purchase was 828,000 square miles purchased from France for $15 million. This area is now present day Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and parts of Colorado, Louisiana Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming and Canadian provinces Alberta and Saskatchewan.
