Meet Andrew Harshey!

The Discovery Education Support team would like to welcome Andrew Harshey to the team! I asked him to write a bit and introduce himself so that the Cache and Cookies readers can get to know him.

Hey everyone,

I’m Andrew Harshey. I graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2011 and double majored in Economics and Business Administration (with a marketing concentration). When I’m not at work I like to spend my time hanging out with friends, playing/watching sports, going spelunking, and skydiving. Ok that’s not entirely true. I’ve never once gone spelunking or skydiving. Spelunking just seems like an awesome activity, and I’ve always wanted to go skydiving.

As I mentioned, I really enjoy playing and watching sports. I’ve played soccer since the age of five and it has always been a pretty big part of my life. I certainly love playing other sports too. I’ve mastered the art of croquet, team handball, and intramural basketball.  I have a giant hodgepodge of different teams I follow. I’m a diehard fan of the Chicago Bulls (was born in Chicago), Philadelphia Eagles (grew up somewhat near Philly), Baltimore Orioles (a lot of family in the area), and Tottenham Hotspur (I have absolutely no idea why).

Some of the things I like:

Favorite TV Shows: I’m on and off with a ton of different shows…Breaking Bad, The Office, Entourage, and a bunch of others.

Favorite Movies: There aren’t many movies I don’t enjoy. I love watching most movies. Some of my favorites include Lucky Number Slevin, The Replacements, Stepbrothers, and Wimbledon. Go ahead and try to categorize those together. I think the last movie I saw in theaters was Fast & Furious 6. What I really loved most about it was the realism…

Favorite Music: I really listen to a lot of different types of music. Favorite Foods: Oh boy. I love food. Asking me to pick my favorite food is like asking me to pick which of my children is my favorite (I don’t have any kids, I’m just trying to imagine what it would be like to have to pick a favorite). I do love mac & cheese, though.

I’m really excited to be part of the team at Discovery Education and look forward to my time here and the experiences ahead.

Welcome Andrew!
