DENSI 2014 -Tuesday Update – The day in pictures

Today was our group outing around Nashville.  We all had our official #DENSI2014 shirts on and were ready to leave for a day of learning and fun by 9 AM. – Image by K Zilhaver

First stop, Rayman Auditorium, home of the original Grand Ole Opry, where we learned the history, performed, and explored some of the local establishments. – Image by K Zilhaver

After gaining some of the flavor of the area, we were transported to the Parthenon, an exact replica of the one in Greece. Porter quickly corralled us for the official group photo, and those brave or crazy enough even attempted a group jumping photo.  Not as successful – it looked more like the wave than a group jump.  Lunch was on the beautifully landscaped grounds, where we enjoyed sharing with our DEN friends. – Image by K Zilhaver

Ride anyone? We were then whisked off the the Country Music Hall of Fame. Those unfamiliar with Country Music were introduced to its history and traditions. With detailed exhibits, interactive activities, gold records and the Hall of Fame, it was a feast for the senses. Too bad we couldn’t sit in this gold plated Cadillac once owned by Elvis!- Image by AE MacDougall

We wrapped up the evening with popcorn and a movie. Wyatt Channel, Executive Producer of “How the Universe Works”, introduced the movie and was gracious enough to answer questions after our watching the show on Jupiter. What a great way to end the day! L to R – Gina Powell, Wyatt Channel, Ana Hale – Image by K Zilhaver
