Next week Edmodo will be hosting their latest EdmodoCon, a virtual conference that celebrates teachers and students connecting each other through social networking. I’ve attended several in the past, but this year I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be participating as the closing keynote! Edmodo has always been one of my favorite web tools because it provides teachers an avenue for scaffolding the digital citizenship skills that students need to be successful both inside and outside the classroom. I’ve been an evangelist for it from the very beginning and can’t wait to share how we’ve been using it with Discovery Education and the DEN.
If you’d like to join me at the Con on Wednesday, August 5th, register here and set aside the day. The agenda looks fantastic and if previous EdmodoCons are any indicator, it’s going to be an incredible day of learning and collaboration. But don’t leave early! I’ll be presenting at 5:15 PDT. The presentation will be Shining a Spotlight on Our Schools: Making Students the Star of the Show.
Hope to see you there!
