    I am a 7th grade Social Studies teacher who believes that the staff where I serve, Sedgefield Middle School, Charlotte, NC, could use further guidance on creating a “mood” a place that energizes our students to want to achieve. How can we get Mr. Kafele to either join us online or in person. We have identified a need for this type of professional development.

    Wow…I’m inspired already. We have a lot of data meetings, RTI meetings, and so on and it’s the same students. It seems as if you couldn’t fire them up if you put a match under them. My goal for 2015: Work on the five areas of focus mentioned in the video #1. Create the “right” environment for learning. #2 It starts with me having the right attitude–“Yes, I believe in you”. #3 Build a relationship with all 115 students. #4 Show compassion. #5. Make the content relevant to students. I’m READY!!!
