Event(s) of the Week: Back to School Edition

Now that back to school season is well underway, it’s time for a return to our Event of the Week.  Every Tuesday I will be highlighting an event submitted by a DEN STAR, demonstrating how they’re sharing their love of Discovery Education in their own school district. However, as most of you know, back to school is also a popular time to for school inservices and teacher trainings.  It was just a little too tough to narrow it down, so I thought I’d share a few of numerous events posted within the last couple of weeks.

“The middle school teachers got together today to talk about the upcoming school year. As part of that I showed of Techbook and also Streaming Plus. Everyone really liked it and we discussed how it could be used in more classes than just science. Several teacher expressed interest in becoming Den STARs and having monthly meetings where we go over what we did with the materials.”

“New teachers came to the Media Center after school to learn resources available to them. They were delighted to learn about our most valuable asset, Discovery Education. To explore and enhance their instruction with Discovery, they will meet with me during their planning time during the year.”
