DENapalooza Hershey, PA Event Recap

Nearly 100 educators joined us to kick of the 2015 DENapalooza tour in Hershey, PA on February 8th. The event was held as a full day pre conference event prior to PETE&C.

The day started with a welcome and Dr. Lodge McCammon shared his “Music Can Move Us” session. Participants learned about the science behind tying movement to learning and learned a number of educational songs including The Commonwealth of Old Pennsylvania from his 50 States Project.

A new gallery project incorporating Aurasma was unveiled. Using the Aurasma App, educators explored the Discovery Educator Network in a whole new way. In addition to sessions hosted by the DEN team, area educators shared their projects during the Strategy Sharing Showcase. A big thank you to the educators who shared their projects, ideas & tools.

There was a lot of learning happening in the sessions- check out a few top tweets, below. You can see the full agenda as well as session notes on the event page.
