The U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance and Discovery Education have partnered on an exciting new initiative to engage urban youth with a first-hand glimpse into agriculture. Using the award-winning documentary, “FARMLAND, a film by James Moll,” as a foundation, this curriculum, for grades 9 through 12, is designed to cultivate conversations about food and agriculture and bring to life critical issues impacting the agriculture industry.
Free resources include:
- Downloadable lesson plans aligned with Next Generation Science Standards and agribusiness standards under the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc)
- Companion activities to extend the impact of the program’s customized lesson plans
- Video resources from “FARMLAND, a film by James Moll” on program website and on Discovery Education Streaming Plus
