Of the People: Exchange for a Day with First Lady Michelle Obama
The First Lady will be traveling to Cuba during the week of March 21, 2016. During her trip, as on previous international trips to Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and China, the First Lady will focus on the power and importance of education, both in her own life and in the lives of young people living in these countries. As part of this visit the First Lady will be hosting a discussion with high school girls about education in Cuba.
Submit your Questions
Do you have a question you would like to ask the student panel in Cuba? Do you want to know how school in Cuba differs, or is the same, as school in the U.S.? Do you want to know what subjects these high school students are studying? The First Lady wants to hear from you and might read your question during the live event.
Submit your question, as a video, using this link by end of day Thursday, March 17. We recommend you record your video landscape, with a view of your class in the background. Videos need to be submitted as an unlisted YouTube video. Questions can be submitted in English or Spanish.
Please note, by submitting your video you accept that this may be used in the broadcast and will be available on the “Of the People” webpage as an archived event. As such, we will need your students to sign the appropriate appearance release form included in the submit link above.
