Cory Key
Discovery Communications Vice President – Digital
Career: Virtual Reality Developer
Imagine swimming in shark-infested shipwrecks or freeboarding the windiest street in the world. Virtual reality can take you to new worlds like never before, immersing you in time, space and story. But who creates these immersive experiences, overseeing the creative design and technical development?
Cory Key is Vice President of Digital, overseeing creation of digital interactive experiences that align to Discovery brands. For example, with Skywire Live, daredevil Nik Wallenda walked a tightrope across the Grand Canyon. Viewers at home could go online to take a 360 degree panoramic digital “walk” themselves, seeing the hair-raising views from the wire 1,500 feet above the Little Colorado River Gorge.
Most recently, Cory has helped launch Discovery VR, a new brand of experiences combining the immersive power of virtual reality with Discovery’s 30-year history of engaging and exceptional content.
