About Science Techbook for NGSS
Built to directly support the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), Discovery Education Science Techbook is a breakthrough digital textbook that will change the way students and teachers experience science. Science Techbook received a series of updates in August that made a great resource even more powerful, adding features and streamlining the overall experience of using the digital textbook. One of our latest white papers examined nine criteria for quality science instructional materials in line with NGSS, and how Science Techbook works hand-in-hand with each of them.
About EA SPORTS Madden NFL: Football by the Numbers
This middle school education program is designed to translate students’ love for football into a deeper understanding of the math and science behind America’s greatest game. Through the program, students gain understanding and experience with problem-based scenarios in which they are asked to use their knowledge to succeed on the field. Watch the Virtual Field Trip with Kyle Schutt as he went behind-the-scenes at EA Sports HQ and explored how video games are developed.
While it is exciting to receive accolades like these, it’s more important that we see teachers and students succeed through our resources. In recent months, we’ve seen two districts raise themselves up with Discovery Education Techbook.
Over the summer, Rowan-Salisbury School System in North Carolina celebrated renewed student success and removed themselves from the state’s list of low-performing school districts, thanks in part to a digital transition that incorporated Techbook. And at Rock Hill Schools in South Carolina, the district has shown student achievement gains for those using Science Techbook.
