Students, teachers, parents, and community members came out for Garland ISD’s TechFest on Thursday, January 26th. For two hours, they all had the chance to explore the technology available for students across the district. Discovery Education was on site with virtual reality (VR) goggles, TechBook stations and SOS integration for teachers. The VR goggles were very popular with students. They journeyed through a haunted house, swam with sharks, and rode a gondola through Venice without every leaving Texas. You can learn more about Discovery Education’s Virtual Reality here. The VR app is a free download available in the app store. Happy VR traveling!
