Day of Discovery Tour

The Day of Discovery Tour helps educators learn more about integrating Discovery Education’s digital content into their curriculum, provides opportunities for participants to share strategies that are working, and connects attendees to their most valuable resource: each other. Principals and school site leaders can join us for Regional Principal Summits this year, as well.

Red Nose Day in School

Use the power of storytelling to make a difference in the world. Get your students to come together and create a video to help change the lives of other children.  Register and Complete the Video Challenge to receive a Discovery Education Hoodie & Red Noses for each student that submits a video.Winning teams will receive $5,000 to implement their plan of action, or other fun prizes. Take the first step and get started today.  This challenge ends April 17, 2017.

3M Young Scientist Challenge

Students, grades 5-8, are invited to create a 1-2 minute video describing a new, innovating solution that could solve an everyday problem. Ten finalists will be chosen for their passion for science, spirit of innovation and ingenuity, and effective communication skills. https://www.youngscientistlab.com/challenge.  Deadline to submit is April 19, 2017.

IWitness USC Shoah Foundation Video Challenge

Middle and high school students who participate in this video challenge will have access to over 1500 testimonials and interviews from Holocaust survivors who share their stories.  Participants are challenged to user their creative skills to craft short videos of how these stories, and the actions of the participants, can create positive social change in their communities. This challenge is open until April 28th.  Registration and other program information can be found on the IWitness site.
