Good evening! My name is Angel Gooch and I’m a Global Marketing Specialist at Discovery Education.

I’m beyond thrilled to share some new resources in Discovery Education to celebrate Women’s History Month. The collection showcases stories of pioneering women throughout history who fought for equality regardless of gender. One of my favorite channels is Encyclopedia Womannica, a podcast series that offers bite-sized audio biographies of women whose impact has changed the world. There are also instructional activities, videos, and reading passages that explore the impact women have had in fields like STEM, the arts, politics, sports, and more.

Also this week, we’re celebrating International Day of Happiness by sharing an activity from Discover Your Happy each morning that you can do with your students. Every video and accompanying activity details one of the Six Sustainable Happiness skills, leading up to the International Day of Happiness on March 20. Check them out and send us pictures of how your students are practicing mindfulness, gratitude and more!

Next, we have a gold mine of resources to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day that we know your students will love. They can learn about the history of the holiday, Irish culture and the various ways countries around the world celebrate the day.

Lastly, we have another amazing Equity Talks session lined up for Thursday with an all-female panel. Register to hear them share their perspectives and approaches to leading through equity while providing honest insight on the unique challenges women face in the executive seat.

Lots of great stuff happening this week! Thanks for listening and we’ll see you next Sunday!
